1. You're going to write a fanfic or draw a piece of fanart for another participant and the same will be done for you.
You can choose which category to sign in (pick only one). If you sign as a writer you will write and recieve a fic. If you sign in as fan artist you will draw and recieve a fan art.
2. The stories have a minimum length of 2.000 words. There’s no upper word limit.
3. The fanart doesn't have to follow any rules (as to the crafting, technique, etc), though we would like to ask you to be as detailed as you can when writing your request to make things easier for your SeSa.
4. For both categories, you're going to receive hints as to what your recipient wants –emailed by us with your assignment-, try to follow them (though they're not god's spell but just a base to create your fanfic/fanart) and make your recipient happy.
5. Try to keep the fanfic you're writing or the fanart you're drawing for yourself. Don't spoil other people's fun and let the surprise overflow your recipient when he finds out that it was you who provide the present.
6. The fanfics and fanarts will be received only up to the settled date (Dec 15th). Please keep this in mind. If you have doubts as to have to submitt, go here and check our submission guidelines.
Now, it’s true that the spirit of this event is to have fun during the holidays but bear in mind that it is also a commitment, in which you are (by signing in), committing to write a story or draw a fan art as a gift for someone.
If you think you can't pull it through on time, then please, don’t sign up. Send kudos, provide long hours of hand holding and tons of coffee. It's the best for all the people involved (and we will really thank you for your support).
However if you did sign up but you ran into unexpected situations (personal problems, etc that are causing you to run late with your story or fan art), *please* contact us, as soon as possible. We’ll be glad to help you to figure things out :)
7. If you sign up and then drop off the radar without delivering a story or drawing, then you will be banned from taking part in future SeSas (this rule will be applied on Dec 15th when all assignments are due).
Of course, if you find you cannot deliver, but contact us in a timely fashion to let us know, then you may be allowed to take part in future at our discretion.
8. Ah yes... finally If you think you have the time to help us out as pinch hitters (write stories or draw fanart as a replacement for a sudden drop out on the part of the person in charge). Send us an e-mail.
